The five main People of the Skies

Dreamstalk is a fanmade stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. The stage is based on the Dreamstalk in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. The battle takes place on a bunch of bigger and smaller platforms that were carried into the skies by the Dreamstalk. In the background, one can see Kirby's House, Castle Dedede lifted into the skies as well as the five main People of the Skies watching the ongoing battle.

The stage is medium sized and is around as big as Tortimer Island. It's a floating stage.

Overview[]

The stage consists of multiple platforms. There is one large platform in the middle which is also the main platform. To the left of it, there are soft platforms that are slowly carried offscreen as their vine is growing faster than the other vine. On the other side of the stage, there are two bigger leaves that serve as soft platforms and move a little depending on the character's weight. Only the main platform have ledges to grab.

There are almost no stage hazards. The only hazard is the left vine that, as mentioned above, is growing faster than the other vine so its platforms are slowly moved offscreen. Characters that stay on these platforms and are uncareful, may be easily brought offstage. Occassionally, one of the five watching People of the Skies throw food into the arena, a reference to how Bandana Dee's give Kirby food to recover his health in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.

Origins[]

Dreamstalk is a gigantic beanstalk whose seed was planted by the People of the Skies in a final effort to find a hero brave and strong enough to stop the villainous Queen Sectonia. During the game's intro, Kirby's House and Castle Dedede are lifted into the skies by the stalk. This stalk helps Kirby travel from world to world on his quest to save King Dedede from Sectonia's henchman Taranza. The five People of the Skies present on this stage also appear in Kirby: Triple Deluxe having been imprisoned within the game's final world, Royal Road. Them throwing food for the players onto the stage is a reference to how Bandana Dees threw food for Kirby to eat in said game. Eventually, Kirby defeats Taranza, a possessed King Dedede and Queen Sectonia, saving Floralia and bringing back peace to the lands of Floralia and Dreamland.
